Dr. Mona Elgohail, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in reproductive and perinatal mental health. Dr. Mona has years of expertise providing evidence-based therapy to women with mental health challenges related to infertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. Dr. Mona is also a certified infant massage instructor, and integrates infant massage into her therapeutic approach to promote the health of both mothers and their infants, as well as foster a stronger connection between them.
Dr. Mona received her BA in Neuroscience & Behavior from Barnard College, Columbia University; and her MS and PhD in clinical psychology from Drexel University. She completed her clinical internship in health psychology at Rush University Medical Center and postdoctoral fellowship at Drexel University’s Mother Baby Connections, an intensive outpatient mental health program for pregnant and postpartum women and their infants.
Dr. Mona has launched award-winning international research studies focused on the psychosocial needs of Muslim women experiencing infertility.
